The Department of Education (the Department) through the Department of Education International and Iceberg Events (a third party contracted service provider), on behalf of the Department, is collecting your personal information from you including but not limited to:
- first and last name
- email address
- organisation name
- position or role
for the purpose of coordinating attendance, registration and participation for the 2024 DEi Conference.
By registering as an attendee, speaker, sponsor or exhibitor for this event you agree to your information being used for this purpose.
The information will only be accessed by authorised employees within the Department and Iceberg Events. Some of your personal information, for example, your email address and first name, may be used by Iceberg Events to send you marketing and communications if you choose to opt-in through the Iceberg Events registration or abstract submission form.
The Department will use the preferred email address you provide to us to communicate with you. Dependent upon which email service provider you use this may result in your information being transferred overseas. Data can be updated or deleted by you or the Department. Your personal information will be managed in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and will be collected for the purposes stated above and it will not be used or disclosed otherwise, unless authorised or required by law.
